About

Olubukola Bolarinde

I am a Storyteller. A Creative. My Artworks are stories. Every piece carries its own unique message and tells you a different story; transporting you into a place, time, scene, experience, or emotion. My father often says that I am the best Storyteller in the world; and trust me, he’s heard a few good stories in his time. So, if I have never told you a story, then you have never heard a good one. My art is inspired by stories around me. Stories I have experienced first-hand, stories I have been told. Art is a means of self-expression. Art is life. My art is a means through which I connect with my audience and a form of preservation of my stories. If you want to know about me, just look at my paintings. I believe that self-expression is key to a full and fulfilled life. My process is spiritual. My hands connect with the canvas and take on a life of their own. Through the vibrant colors, I tell you unique stories of my people, our culture, and our land. From North to South, East, and West; my art celebrates our African Heritage. If you haven’t heard a good story yet, it is possibly because you have not encountered my art. And remember, as far as storytelling goes; I am the best.
